Important: Payday Lender is a loan-matching service, not a lender. Loans matched here have terms of 61 days to 60 months and a maximum APR of 35.99%. Approval is never guaranteed.

Unexpected expense?
Compare personal loan offers in minutes, on your terms.

Tell us what you need. We connect you with third-party lenders in our network so you can compare real offers side by side — and only accept one if the rate, fees and monthly payment work for you.

Not a lender disclosure: Payday Lender does not make loans, approve applications, or set loan terms. Each lender in our network makes its own credit decision and sets its own interest rate, fees and repayment schedule, subject to state law. Submitting a request is not an offer of credit and does not guarantee approval or funding.

Request loan offers

One short request. Lenders in our network review it under their own criteria. You are never obligated to accept an offer.

Your information is protected with SSL encryption. We share it only as described in the Privacy Policy, with lenders and service providers needed to process your request. This form is a demonstration until it is connected to your affiliate network or CRM — see the README file before publishing.

How Payday Lender works

We are the connection, not the decision-maker. That distinction protects you: you see the lender's actual terms before you agree to anything.

1. Tell us what you need

Choose an amount from $100 to $5,000, your purpose and your state. The request takes a few minutes and costs nothing.

2. Compare lender offers

Lenders in our network review your request under their own criteria. Compare APR, fees, monthly payment, total cost and repayment term — not just the headline amount.

3. Review, then decide

If an offer works for you, you accept it directly with that lender. If it does not, you walk away. No offer is final until you review and sign the lender's agreement.

Watch: from request to decision

This short video shows the same three steps: a household reviews its budget, submits one request from a phone, and compares offers before deciding. Video summary: (1) check your budget, (2) submit one request, (3) compare APR, fees and total cost, (4) accept only an offer you can afford to repay on schedule.

Funding times vary. Some lenders may fund as soon as the next business day after approval and verification; others take longer. Your bank's processing time also affects when funds are available.

Loan options to compare

Amounts and terms below are the range matched through this site. Your actual offer depends on the lender, your state, your income and your credit history.

$100 - $1,000

Smaller, short-term help

For a single urgent bill or repair. Terms from 61 days. Keep the amount as low as the expense requires — borrowing more than you need increases total cost.

  • Terms: 61 days to 12 months
  • APR: 5.99% - 35.99%
  • Best for: one urgent expense

$1,000 - $2,500

Mid-size expenses

For larger repairs or several bills at once. A longer term lowers the monthly payment but usually increases total interest paid.

  • Terms: 3 to 36 months
  • APR: 5.99% - 35.99%
  • Best for: planned repayment over months

$2,500 - $5,000

Larger personal loans

For debt consolidation or a major repair, where a longer term and a clear monthly payment matter most. Compare total cost, not just the monthly figure.

  • Terms: 12 to 60 months
  • APR: 5.99% - 35.99%
  • Best for: larger, planned borrowing

Common reasons people request a loan

  • Car repair — getting back to work when a vehicle breaks down.
  • Medical or dental bills — an unexpected treatment cost.
  • Home repair — a leaking roof, broken heating or urgent plumbing work.
  • Essential household bills — catching up after an income gap.
  • Debt consolidation — replacing several payments with one, if the total cost is lower.

A loan is rarely the right tool for non-essential spending, holidays or gambling. If the expense can wait, saving first is usually cheaper. See Responsible lending and the alternatives below.

When an expense cannot wait

Sometimes the car, the boiler or the medical bill cannot wait for the next paycheck. In that case, the cheapest safe option is the one with the lowest total cost you can repay comfortably — even if its monthly payment is slightly higher.

Estimate my payment

Loan calculator — estimate before you apply

This is an estimate only. It assumes no additional lender fees and a fixed APR for the full term. Your lender's offer — including any origination, late or other fees — controls.

$101.78 / month
Total to repay: $2,442.76  |  Total interest: $442.76

Calculation uses the standard amortisation formula. A longer term lowers the monthly payment but increases total interest. Always check the lender's total cost, fees and repayment schedule before accepting.

Who can request an offer?

Basic criteria lenders commonly require

  • Age 18 or older (19 in some states)
  • US resident with a valid ID
  • Steady source of income
  • Active checking account
  • Working email and phone number

Meeting these criteria does not guarantee approval. Each lender applies its own underwriting standards.

Credit checks

Lenders may check your credit with one or more credit bureaus, or use alternative data. A check may be a soft inquiry or a hard inquiry, depending on the lender. A hard inquiry can affect your credit score. Ask the lender which type it will use before you proceed.

What you will need

  • Government-issued ID
  • Proof of income (pay stubs or bank statements)
  • Bank account details for funding and repayment
  • Proof of address in some cases

Rates, fees and a representative example

Google Ads requires these three disclosures to be prominent and visible without clicking. They are shown here, in the top bar, and again in the footer.

DisclosureWhat it means here
Minimum and maximum repayment period61 days to 60 months. No loan matched through this site requires repayment in full in 60 days or less.
Maximum Annual Percentage Rate (APR)35.99%. APRs matched through this site range from 5.99% to 35.99%. APR includes interest plus fees and other costs for a year, calculated consistently with the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) where applicable. Your APR depends on the lender, your state and your credit profile.
Representative example (separate from the maximum APR above)A $2,000 loan repaid over 24 months at 19.99% APR costs $101.78 per month, $2,442.76 in total, including $442.76 in interest, assuming no additional fees. If your lender charges an origination or other fee, your total cost will be higher and will be shown in your offer.
FeesPayday Lender charges you no fee for matching. Lenders may charge interest and, in some cases, an origination fee, late-payment fee or non-sufficient-funds fee. All lender fees must be disclosed in your loan agreement before you accept. Never pay an upfront fee to receive a loan offer.
Other representative examples$1,000 over 12 months at 35.99% APR: $100.46 per month, $1,205.49 in total. $1,000 over 12 months at 5.99% APR: $86.06 per month, $1,032.74 in total. $5,000 over 60 months at 35.99% APR: $180.63 per month, $10,837.95 in total. These are illustrations only, assuming no additional fees.

How matching and compensation work

Payday Lender is compensated by some lenders, networks or partners when a request is matched, an application is submitted, or a loan is funded. Compensation may affect which offers you see and their order. It does not change the lender's rate for you, but it does mean the offers shown are not necessarily the lowest-cost loans available in the market. Always compare the APR, fees, monthly payment and total cost of every offer, and consider checking a bank, credit union or other lender directly.

We do not endorse, guarantee or insure any lender, and we are not responsible for a lender's decisions, funding, servicing or collections. After you accept a loan, your contract is with the lender. Contact the lender directly about payments, extensions, hardship options or complaints about your loan.

State availability — read before you apply

Loan availability, maximum amounts, rates and terms vary by state law and by lender licensing. Traditional short-term payday lending is prohibited or effectively unavailable in many states, including Arizona, Arkansas, Connecticut, Georgia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. Other states cap rates or restrict terms. If you select one of those states in the form above, the form will explain that a traditional payday product cannot be matched there and will point you to the alternatives below instead of collecting a payday request.

For Google Ads: geo-target campaigns only to states where the advertised product is lawfully available from a licensed lender in your network, and exclude the states above unless you have verified, in writing, that a compliant product is available there. Laws change — re-check with your network and state regulators before each campaign.

Responsible lending — please read this first

Borrowing can help in an emergency, but it can also make a tight month harder if the repayment does not fit your budget.

Borrow only what you need

Check the monthly payment against your income after rent, food, transport and other essentials. If the payment leaves you short, the loan is too large or the term is too short.

Watch the total cost, not just the payment

A longer term can look easier month to month while costing far more overall. Compare total cost across offers before you choose.

Have a repayment plan

Know the due dates, the payment method and what happens if a payment is late. If your income changes, contact your lender early — do not ignore the loan.

Lower-cost alternatives to consider first

  • Ask the creditor for a payment plan — many utilities, medical providers and landlords will spread a bill without interest.
  • Credit union Payday Alternative Loans (PALs) — small loans from federal credit unions, typically $200 to $1,000, repaid over 1 to 6 months at lower cost.
  • Employer pay advance or earned-wage access — check the fees first; some options are free, others are not.
  • Community assistance — local nonprofits, charities and emergency assistance programs may help with rent, utilities or food.
  • Nonprofit credit counselling — a certified counsellor can review your budget and debts. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) at consumerfinance.gov has free guides on borrowing and debt.

Warning: Taking a new loan to repay an existing loan can create a cycle of debt. If you are already struggling with repayments, seek free, independent debt advice before borrowing more. If you cannot repay, contact your lender about hardship, extension or payment-plan options available under your agreement and state law. Late or missed payments may result in additional fees, collection activity and damage to your credit.

Frequently asked questions

Is Payday Lender a lender?

No. Payday Lender is a free loan-matching and affiliate service. We are not a lender, we do not make credit decisions, and we do not fund loans. Lenders in our network make all lending decisions.

How much can I request, and for how long?

From $100 to $5,000, with repayment terms from 61 days to 60 months, depending on the lender and your state. Your offer will state the exact amount, term, APR and payment schedule.

What is the maximum APR?

35.99%. APRs range from 5.99% to 35.99%. See the representative example in the Rates section: a $2,000 loan over 24 months at 19.99% APR costs $101.78 per month and $2,442.76 in total, assuming no additional fees.

Will I be approved?

There is no guarantee. Each lender reviews income, credit history, state law and its own criteria. Some applicants receive no offer, and some receive an offer for a different amount or term than requested.

How fast will I get money?

It depends on the lender, verification and your bank. Some lenders fund the next business day after approval; others take longer. We do not promise same-day or instant funding.

Can I get a loan with bad credit?

Some lenders in our network work with a range of credit histories, including limited or poor credit. That does not mean approval is guaranteed, and a lower credit score usually means a higher APR. Compare the total cost carefully.

Is there a fee to use this site?

No fee from Payday Lender. Lenders may charge interest and fees, which must appear in your offer and agreement before you accept. Do not pay anyone an upfront fee for a loan.

What happens if I cannot repay on time?

Contact your lender immediately. Late payments may incur fees and affect your credit. Your lender's agreement and your state law govern extensions, payment plans and collection practices. Payday Lender cannot change your loan terms after acceptance.

Can I cancel after accepting?

Your right to cancel depends on your lender's agreement and state law, including any rescission period. Read the agreement before signing and contact the lender at once if you change your mind.

Is my information safe?

We use SSL encryption and share information only as described in the Privacy Policy, with lenders, networks and service providers needed to process your request. No system is completely secure, so review the Privacy Policy before submitting sensitive information.

Do you operate in every state?

No. Availability depends on state law and lender licensing. Traditional payday products are prohibited or effectively unavailable in several states listed in the State availability section. Ads should be geo-targeted only to states where the product is lawful.

Who do I contact about my loan?

Your lender, using the contact details in your loan agreement. Payday Lender can help with questions about this website and the matching request, but cannot service, change or collect a loan.
